Discipline Policies
  • First Offence: Will always result in a verbal warning, either via PM or IM on the chat. Spamming and large arguments may result in a swift punishment.
  • Second Offence: Can result in a 24 hour ban from either the chat or the site depending on the problem.
  • Third Offence Depending on the problem, and the history of the user third time offenders may face a perm. ban from the site.

Leave of Absence

So I'm sure this is a no-brainer, if you know that you're going to be gone for a while please send a PM to who ever you've been RPing with. It would also be nice if you'd send one of the staff members a PM as well.

{Pig}- Posting Icon Guide

Ours site offers the use of Topic Icons to help explain your type of thread. Some of them are for Staff use only, others for information/question, characters, and RP threads. Below I shall explain the use for each icon and if you may use them or not.

    Staff Use Only
  • Used to show if a thread is of great importance, only staff may use this thread.

    Information & Question Threads

  • Used to show that a Question or Information thread is finished. These can be used for site related questions, character profiles or even for plotting purposes.
  • Used for threads that are currently in progress; such as character profiles that are not completed, questions or other related threads.

    Role-Play Threads

  • Used for RP threads that have been finished.
  • Used to show that a RP thread is open to all members who wish to join.
  • Used to show that a RP thread is only open to a chosen few. If you have not been invited to the thread and post a warning shall be given.
  • Used to show the type of skill that is required to join. Thread author can kick those they do not deem skilled enough. Refusal to leave will result in a warning.

Forum Motion Image Hosting & Resizing Feature

Yes, our side actually have a feature such as this! Ok so let me explain. Because we have the ↑ rules, you must know how to resize those images. Because some on-line resizers tend to make the image look bad, simply use the site’s feature.

Look for an image that looks like this: Simply click on this and then choose how your hosting your image: by a pic that is saved on your computer or by a direct link of the pic. (Hosting the pic and then clicking a different pixel size will have the link resized on the new direct link.)

For those that don’t know the image code click this button: . It will place the link in code at the very bottom of the page. So its much easier to just learn the code” [ img] or [ /img] without space.

{Lac} [size=18]Language Rules

Yes, we do have language restrictions, although we aren't to stingy about it. Please keep your cursing as limited as possible. We understand if your character is vulgar but we do ask that you don't go overboard with this.

Chat Speak while IC is a big no-no. While on the chat it is perfectly fine as long as Nyx can make sense of it. However while IC we will deduct Divine Favor if we find you have been using this type of speech. Chat/Text speak can include substituting numbers for words such as 4 for "for".

Slang is another matter. If you character has a particular speaking style and uses words like "ain't" or "nuttin" or anything else that falls into that sort of category then its quite alright.

If you look to the side of the forum (left) you can find two links that lead to language translators. These translators are free to use however you want. If you wish for your character to cuss in either Elven or Qour then so be it, not like we're gunna know unless you tell us.

{Pst} Posting

General Posting Rules
  • Please do not god-mod. While we cannot tell you exactly what this is, we do hope that you and your partner can come to terms with what you consider to be Godmodding or power-playing. We can however give you a few examples.
    Examples of Gmodding or Power-Playing:

  • Good Sentence Structure! We cannot stress this enough, everyone. The reason for this site is to group together people who know how to rp and are skilled at it. So please, follow your good senses and keep up the good work!
    Examples of Bad Sentences:

{Cpr} Character Profile Rules

Character Profiles are a very big part of our site. This requirement serves as two functions that greatly help our staff out in getting to know you. First it offers us a preview on how you role-play, not to mention gives us an inside look at your characters. Character profile information is located in the Character Submission Forum. There you will find info on our site’s races, the Deities of Elmesia and other useful information. Remember, create a new thread for your character in the forum! Once we approve your character we'll move the thread to the Profile's forum.

Remember to give us as much detail as you can! If we can get to know your character just by looking at their profile it will make for a much easier time plotting and RPing with them. Also please think about what makes a “Mary Sue or Stue”. Try not to make your histories to explicit, either.

{Roc} Rules of Combat

Now on to Battle Rules! Mostly this can be decided between partners but the Staff and I did want to set a few ground rules. Now most of these coincide with the general Posting rules so please scan over these all the same.

  • Be sure to take turns, a battle cannot be determined with a single turn! (Aka a "turn" is player one posts, then player two.)
  • Try to keep your attacks in a single post to a limited amount. No one likes it when you spam attacks and then your partner can only dodge to keep it realistic.
  • While special attacks are always interesting, please try to keep them within a limited use. Also try to add in a weakness or two, such as the spell takes a while to cast or it has a high chance of missing.

{Goe} Deities of Elmeisa

This is only a quick little explanation for the Deities of Elmesia. If you want more info about them then please read the full page on The Lore of Coryth.

Each of the Gods and Goddess are both polar opposites and slightly similar to each other. If you think about it, South and West are both started with an A with North and East start with an E.

Erysais is the goddess of Sylvilus (North) and is the patron of the skies aka the heavens. Ashura is the god of Dalynul (South) and is the patron of the underworld aka hell. Erivon is the goddess of Byzevul (East) and is the patron of earth/humanity. While Asuras is the patron of demons and the Otherworld/netherworld.

Thanks for reading this. If you have any questions about our rules or suggestions for things we could add, feel free to send me, Nyx, or Emmie a PM (Private message) about it.
